The colors of O.C. Lifeguard towers

Orange County, California has some of the best waves and beaches in the world, and while the color of the water tends to remain blue, the shapes and colors of the lifeguard towers are anything but uniform.

Above, a brown Newport Beach tower. Below, the white towers of next-door Huntington Beach.

The Laguna Beach tower at the main beach is one of the more unusual shapes in SoCal and a visual stunner.

The reason the Laguna lifeguard tower looks so different is because it was originally on display at a gas station across the street. It was moved in the 1920s.
