COVID-19 — Deserted Los Angeles

During a time of lockdown, quarantine and social distancing, we brought the #Photowalk cameras out to iconic Los Angeles locations to see if the city was as deserted as had been advertised.

The pictures tell the story. Thursday, 6:30, the TCL Chinese Theater at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where there are usually throngs of tourists, and costumed characters looking to pose with them for tips.

Hollywood Walk of Fame

Cars usually zoom up and down Hollywood Blvd. and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Imagine being able to stand in the middle of the street at 6:30 p.m. on a Thursday and photograph without any cars zooming by and idling in place.

Hollywood Blvd.

Eerie Walt Disney Concert Hall at 7:15 p.m., usually bustling with concertgoers waiting to go in and listen to a symphony. Practicing social distancing outside the hall.

LA Freeways

The busy Los Angeles freeways, with just a handful of cars zooming by, no jams, no stops. 7:30 p.m. Thursday night 3/26/20
